The Joy of Autism

The purpose of this whole site is to educate people about autism. The hope has been that misconceptions were addressed and new reliable information has taken their place. What is most important about this site is that it does not just discuss a group of characteristics, but a group of people. Autistics are people just like anyone else and they have feelings and emotions. They are impaired in some areas (like everyone) and they excel in other areas that non-autistics could not even fathom. Each person is unique in their own way. This last post is dedicated to all people with autism. Thank you for being patient with people who do not treat you well. Thank you for staying strong when so many people call you weak. Thank you for helping us learn about the differences between NT’s and autistics. Thank you for teaching us the importance of acceptance. And most of all, thank you for being the wonderful, special, beautiful people that you are.
